Berlin Subway: S & U-Bahn map App Reviews

Two major problems with this app: (1) It doesn’t recognize stations spelled with an umlaut, which makes it useless in many cases, and (2) It doesn’t tell you which way to go on a given line. That is, of course, a vital piece on information, and to find out you’ve got to trace that little blue line all the way to the edge of the map. What a pain!! Get Fahrinfo Berlin instead. It avoids the two pitfalls above, and also suggests often-faster bus routes between U- or S-Bahn stations.

This app is by far the most easy user friendly one out here. STOP NOW dont waste your time else where.

Really terrific.

The app supplies directions that are impossible, such as taking the U7 directly to the Hbf. Even when directions are possible, they dont make good travel sense.

I found this worked great, as well or better than any similar apps Ive used for the trains in NYC where i live. I love Berlin, and part of what i love is the excellent public transport. Ok, and the bike lanes, but thats another story. Anyway, this app made the Berlin transit work for me, and that made me like the app, and the city!

I use it every day. I do wish it would integrate the bus system though

Calculates a route, but doesnt show direction of travel. How hard would it be to code that? Not very...

Very helpful app. Plan a trip easily with routing. Glad I downloaded it. Berliner Metro system is one of the best.

Excellent app. Only improvement would be adding tram line routes to app. But even as is, great aid to visitors to Berlin whose German is limited.

I downloaded this on a whim, but it was serendipity! With the route finder I was easily able to navigate the ubahn for the first time (including several transfers). I definitely recommend it!

This app was essential in helping us navigate around Berlin. I cant even describe how useful it was. My only suggestion is that you add which end point (direction) you need to go. Currently you have to set the route, then look up on the map where the end of the line is so you get on the right train. Integrate that with the routes and it would be gold! Many thanks!

Very easy to use!!! Best metro app ever!!

I too downloaded this app on a whim, and have not regretted it. I can whip my phone out and quickly use the routing function to get me and my friends exactly where we need to go, without so much as glancing around like a confused tourist. Go go go!

The app serves the purpose. Ive downloaded several apps from the same producer for different cities. Its just annoying that they make one single app for each city. Id prefer to have only one where I could choose the cities i need within the app.

We used this for our recent trip to Berlin. It works great. I do wish it covered the trams.

Excellent app for helping one find the best route across Berlin via underground and s-trains. Most ideal fot tourists but applicable for those who live in Berlin as well.

But add end stations. Would be much more useful.
