This is an excellent little app for SUBWAYS ONLY. It figures out the route very quickly, but it doesn’t tell you which direction of train to take. They all go from one end station to another, and that info is missing. So when it tells you to take A-->U8-->B, transfer, B-->U5-->C which direction of U8 and U5 to take...

Berlins subway stations are unmanned and confusing. You need help, but this app isnt it. The app is built on data taken from a static map. I know this, because it has directed me to take line numbers that no longer exist. Also, it wont give you a platform number or direction to stand at. So it gets you to the nearest station then youre on your own. In order to figure out which way youre going on a line, you need to read an electronic display which usually (but not always) shows the last station on your line in your direction of travel. The route info youre given by the app omits this crucial detail. When you click on the map to display your route, it zooms right in to the first station. So you have to manually zoom and pan to even see your route, and then follow the colored line to the end in both directions to see the station terminus name past your destination so you know what train to get on! Get a current paper map instead of this app. At least the info will be current.

This app feels a lot more outdated than the metro apps released by the same dev. With the Paris and Barcelona (I think) app, I could tell where I was on the map with GPS location. This one doesnt do the same. I have to keep checking where we are by looking out the window. The biggest problem I had, as a tourist and not a local Berliner, was that it was hard for me to check which direction I was supposed to head to because the app only gave me the line number and not the direction. Other than that, it got me where I needed to go so it was alright. thank you!

It will be great to have a real map overlap to be able to see the exact locations of stations.

Dont install this app, its useless and outdated. Doesnt have valid and current data about Berlins underground. This app will only confuse you if you are a tourist.
